Sneak Peek: Our Newest Project
Did you know you’re a part of a living legacy of clean water?
This community has helped build sustainable clean water systems for 35 years now!
14 years ago, many of you supported a water project in Kasese, the Western Region of Uganda (about twice as far away as our latest project in Irimya).
That system has held up very well over the years, but technology has evolved, and hygiene training has improved since then.
This year, there is an incredible opportunity to partner with the community and their local government to upgrade the system to 100% functionality and ensure it lasts even longer.
In addition, healthy hygiene training will be shared with households to complement the clean water flowing from the updated system, and new latrines will be built for the least-served schools in this area. This, along with partnerships with other NGOs, will ensure that clean water has maximum impact.
The existing water could also be extended upwards to serve another 24 villages with the supply of more pipes and training, as funding allows!
Your support of the Kasese Project could mean 38,000 more people can have clean, safe water.
The partnership and project with Kasese is set to start in September, so stay tuned for more details.
Tap by tap you can help build a brighter future for Kasese!
