Ripples of Your Impact
The Effect of Your Gifts Just Six Months Later
The project in Irimya, Uganda felt impossible at the start.
Could 19 km of pipe be laid through thick jungle forests to bring 7,000 people clean water access?
Fast forward six months after the taps turned on flowing safe, clean water to seven villages and you can see – together with genuine collaboration and dedication, it is possible!
At its heart, this project demonstrates Acts for Water’s commitment to working alongside and ensuring locals take ownership of planning, building, and maintaining the infrastructure.
Your compassion and generosity helped here in incredible ways by enabling our team to engage communities early, raise awareness, provide health and sanitation education, and recruit hundreds of local volunteers.
Irimya has already seen waterborne diseases drop by 85%, school attendance boosted by 30%, and time freed for work and education, because of your gift of clean water!
Families have built and continue to maintain sanitation facilities, fostering hygiene and health that ripple outward. Local committees, led by community members—many of them women—oversee water points and sanitation.
“Thank you for feeling kindness toward us – for sharing your kind support with our village of Irimya.”
– Rosette, Program Participant, Irimya
Each of these leadership opportunities helps sustain water access and build skills benefiting all of Irimya. Thanks to you, they can maintain their water system and build a foundation for future resilience!
This ripple effect of transformation is only possible because of your kindness.
Plus, the pipe you helped us lay here will soon flow water forward to another 7,000!
