Students in Canada helping Students in Uganda

Oliver and his friends Lance and Matthew are not your average Junior High students in Calgary. They recently connected with Acts for Water and were moved by the story of Annescar, an aspiring engineer from Nyakyera. They developed a heart for water poverty and wanted to do something to help more people like Annescar.

Oliver reached out to Acts so he could host his own Walk4Water on World Water Day earlier this year. Despite the cold weather in Calgary and needing to reschedule until they had warmer temperatures in April, Oliver and his team persevered. And it was worth it! They raised over $900 to bring clean water to the people of Kota!

In addition to their Walk4Water fundraiser, Oliver and his team have been amazing ambassadors for the cause and even presented at their school Take Action Fair raising awareness of Acts and water poverty.

We’re excited that students in at Ft. Langley Fine Arts School and Vancouver Talmud Torah have also signed up to host a Walk4Water!

Check out Walk4Water.ca for all the materials you need to host a walk at your school, church or company.
