Sharing Feedback from Our Latest Donor Survey

At the beginning of January, we asked for your feedback and insight to help guide some important steps as we are about to enter our 50th year as an organization.

We heard from over 25% of our Donors! Thank you to those of you who took the time to share your opinions and observations with us! Here are a few of the top comments from our donor community…

Top 3 things you asked us to keep doing:

1. Sharing Personal Stories – the highest ranked type of communication in terms of value for this community and we agree! We love being able to share these with you.

2. Communicating Need + Impact – the majority of people identified that they donate because of the need as well as the impact of their donation to the need.

3. Focus on Clean Water – ranked as this community’s highest reason for giving, we are glad to hear that our goal to do one thing and to do it well resonates with you.

“I like knowing and seeing what actually happens in the field. I feel like there is a relationship as part of my contribution.”

“I believe that Acts is providing a service which serves a basic human need and is providing this service in an efficient manner by enlisting the beneficiaries in the process.”

Top 3 things you want us to do more of:

1. Big Picture Updates – this was a second highest rank in terms of valuable communication and good to know. We look forward to providing improved project updates that capture the depth and breadth of the work and impact on the field.

2. Project Stats – many of you want more stats! So we’ve already begun changing the way we evaluate and report on current progress to share those details with you.

3. More Personal Connection – some commented on wanting to experience more of a personal connection with our Ugandan communities. This is something we found very meaningful through the Jerry Can Project and definitely plan to do more of.

And some of the surprising things?

  • Low ranking on the video updates from the field
  • How important the way we do water is, and
  • Just how many of you would stick with us if we increase our efforts on sustainability!

There you have it. What do you think? Did we miss something?

Your feedback does matter. If you didn’t get a chance to fill out the survey and have some valuable feedback to share, we’d love to receive it at info@acts.ca.
