54 Minutes
54 minutes.
That’s the amount of time families in Kanywameizi now save on average every day, thanks to improved access to clean water.
27 hours a month gained back, thanks to you!
It’s been over a year since this generous community helped complete a water project there.
You may remember that the picture before it all began was a hard one to imagine – families walking for hours, dirty water, sickness, children missing school…
But the picture of the difference after is even harder to believe!
Ambrose (Program Director in Uganda) just sent us a report – rich in results and impact.
By bringing clean water closer to homes, you’ve been a part of turning hours into happiness.
The difference 56 taps and 5 gender-inclusive latrines at 4 primary schools have made for these families is something to see.
Here are a few of my favourites:
- 🕰️ time saved
- 👨👩👧👦 more moments with family
- 💤 added rest
- 📈 increased opportunity for economic activities
- 📉 84 students absent per month has gone down to 30 (64% decrease)
- 👇 25% decrease in waterborne disease (33.14% down to 7.69%)
