Project Update

In July, we shared a story about Praise with you – how she’s been living in Irimya with her family, walking hours a day to collect dirty water shared with elephants because clean water’s too far away.

You responded enthusiastically by giving, and together, this compassionate community raised $21,978 to purchase the extra 9,000 metres of pipe to connect Praise to clean, safe water. 

This is a huge deal!

The impact of your kind support goes beyond just Praise’s pipe dream coming true. When this project is complete, her neighbours in 14 villages, five schools, and one health clinic will have access to clean water too! 

Your timely response helped keep this project on track. The team has already protected the water source, finished building the reservoir and sediment tanks, and done initial hygiene training.
